For me, it was reading a globe for the first time. It was the moment when the world was spread out before me and I located myself on the map. It just seemed unreal to me at the time that I was part of this bigger picture, yet I had only seen a small sliver of it. As I got older I realized that life is like a puzzle; in order to see the bigger picture you have to put all the pieces together. If you content yourself with just seeing a small sliver of the world then you will never fully grasp what it means to be alive.

2020 has been a wild ride so far, but it has helped me realize how important the ability to travel and explore the world really is. Being stuck at home for the last few months has allowed me time to reflect on my life and personal choices, and decide how I want the next few years to look. What I’ve learned so far is that I want a life in which I can explore the world often. And in order to do that I’m going to have to think outside the box, not allowing traditional jobs to stifle my creativity with long hours and stressful days. In order to have the life I want I need to learn how to work for me. So beginning this year I’m doing just that!

I made the decision to be a full time blogger because I needed an extra push. I’m motivated by my dream of seeing the world in all its beauty. This blog is a testament to how bad I want it. With each new post and each new subscriber I get closer to my goal and honestly it is an amazing feeling!
